Early Years

The Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception) is grouped into four distinct themes; ‘A Unique Child’, ‘Positive Relationships’, ‘Enabling Environments’ and ‘Learning and Development’ in line with the latest requirements of the Department for Education. This incorporates seven areas of learning:
- Communication and Language
 - Physical Development
 - Personal, Social and Emotional Development
 - Literacy
 - Mathematics
 - Understanding the World
 - Expressive Arts and Design
 
Little Rays Nursery
15 hour provision for all 3 - 4 year olds
Mornings - 8.30am - 11.30am (3 hour session)
Afternoons - 12.20pm - 3.20pm ( 3 hour session)
30 hour funded provision for 3 - 4 year olds - eligible families
Option 1:
Monday to Thursday - 8.30am - 3.15pm
Friday 8.30am - 11.30am
Option 2:
Monday to Friday - 8.30am - 3.15pm
Fee of £25 (Friday 11.30 - 3.15pm)
Children will need a packed lunch or there is an option to pay for a school meal via School Money
Who is eligible for 30 hour funding?
Eligible children are entitled to 30 hours per week Government funded sessions
Eligibility
- You must be working, either employed or self-employed
 - You and your partner must each expect to earn the equivalent of working 16 hours a week at the national minimum wage or living wage
 - You or your partner cannot have an expected adjusted net income over £100,000 in the current tax year
